Photo Shoot Wedding Cake

A few months back I had the privilege of being a part of my friend's
photo shoot.
Allison and I have been friends since the 4th grade, and now in our mid-20s,
we're still going strong. I consider myself extremely blessed in the
friend category, having my three closest friends around for 15+ years…
and I love them sooo very dearly.
Anywho… Allison is an extremely talented make-up
artist, and you can see some of her gorgeous work here.
And she asked me if I would be a part of a photoshoot for
her portfolio that she was styling, organizing, shooting, and well,
doing everything except the cake and macarons.
For this cake, to match the classy, 20s vibe Al wanted, I wanted to
keep the cake clean and simple.
For the bottom tier, I chose to paint the fondant with silver lustre dust,
which was quite the task, but I loved the ending result.
For the top of the cake, Allison had two pink paper maché
rhinos that went perfectly atop the cake.
For the French macarons, I dyed them a light pink and then
painted mini silver hearts off to the side.
Overall, the whole shoot was so much fun to be a part of, and
being able to do the shoot with two of my closest friends
was even more special (can you tell I'm a sap).

Here's two photos Allison took with her pro camera ;)
and you can find the rest on her blog

And here are my ahhhhmazing iPhone photos (hint of sass) ;)

I had sooo much fun, and I have a few photo shoot possibilities for the future, so I'm really
looking forward to this new, exciting opportunity.
.xoxo.
